A vintage Walter Merten miniature figure set made in Germany (Berlin-West). The set appears to be HO scale (1:87) and includes multiple hand-painted figures depicting period characters in 18th or 19th century dress:
• Women in elaborate period gowns (blue and yellow dresses)
• Men in period clothing including what appears to be a gentleman with a top hat
• A figure that looks like it could be a merchant or tradesman
• Various other period characters in typical historical dress
• The figures are mounted on a painted backdrop showing a pastoral/village scene
• All contained in the original clear plastic display case
• Measures approximately 13cm (5+ inches) in length based on the ruler
• Shows “MINIATURPLASTIKEN” and “WALTER MERTEN BERLIN-WEST” markings
