Vintage “Stopleaks” pot and pan mending kit on original store display card. Three graduated-size metal repair discs (screw-and-nut style patches) mounted on their original printed cardboard backing card, reading “STOPLEAKS FOR LEAKY POTS and PANS,” manufactured by [partially obscured] Chemical Co., Sydney. Each disc has a slotted screw head on the front and a square nut/washer on the reverse for tightening down over a hole or crack to make a watertight seal — a simple mid-century home-repair solution before pots and pans were routinely thrown away. The card shows honest age: browning, foxing, and a couple of vertical creases/splits, with the discs themselves showing surface oxidation. A charming piece of Australian domestic/hardware ephemera.
