The belt is made up of multiple linked panels, each featuring an ornate cut-out floral design (daisy-like blooms within circular vine borders). It closes with a hook clasp and has an extended chain ending in a decorative acorn-shaped charm.
The reverse of the panels shows a clear hallmark: “EPNS” (Electroplated Nickel Silver), indicating it is silver-plated rather than solid sterling silver. EPNS was widely used in the late 19th and 20th centuries for decorative belts, buckles, and jewelry. The hallmarking and construction show this belt is British-made, possibly dating between the 1930s–1960s.
This kind of belt would have been a statement accessory, worn over dresses or skirts, and is now considered collectible vintage costume jewelry.
