The catalogue accompanied the major touring retrospective of Boyd’s work — his first in over 30 years — comprising over 200 works, shown at the Art Gallery of NSW (Dec 1993–Mar 1994), National Gallery of Victoria, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, and the Art Gallery of Western Australia through 1994.
