Antique Spatula/Strainer

This is a vintage perforated skimmer or strainer, or fish spatula.

• Extensively perforated paddle with uniform round holes
• Well-used condition showing age and kitchen use
• Traditional riveted construction at the handle junction

This tool was used for lifting foods from hot oil, water, or other liquids while allowing liquid to drain through the many holes. Common uses included removing fried foods, blanched vegetables, poached items, or skimming foam from stocks and soups.
